Innovation Challenge SystemAqaba
The process

How it works

Six steps, from application to the prioritised pipeline.

  1. Apply

Submit against a chosen problem statement.

  2. Train

Five days, 25 hours, hybrid access, a four-of-five attendance rule.

  3. Build

Develop the solution, validate assumptions, refine with guidance.

  4. Challenge

The two-day event, working a real Aqaba problem in a structured team.

  5. Pitch

To the jury, on the ASEZA Challenge Evaluation Scorecard.

  6. Fast-track

Three winning teams enter the ASEZA pre-sandbox pipeline as prioritised candidates.

What happens after the event

The regulatory track (ASEZA)

Refinement, pre-sandbox screening, Full Application, Test Plan and DPIA where triggered, then a Go/No-Go gate.

The venture track (mentors)

Structured mentoring for up to ten teams, subject to activation of the contract’s follow-up phase.

Fast-track means prioritised review and structured guidance. It does not waive eligibility, safeguards, or authorisation, and winning the challenge does not constitute sandbox admission.
